People can easily pay their Cook County property tax bills, search for refunds and verify tax exemptions without leaving home and risking exposure to COVID-19, the Daily Herald reports.

While the second installment is due Aug. 3, property owners can pay without any interest charge through Oct. 1 in a delay granted because of the virus, Treasurer Maria Pappas says. Partial payments are accepted.
