During an interview with Jon Hansen on WGN/720 AM, Treasurer Pappas explains how homeowners can use the website to look for refunds going back 20 years and missing exemptions going back four years.

She encourages homeowners to use cookcountytreasurer.com to search for available refunds rather than wait for someone to contact them.

"We're not hunting you down anymore," Pappas says.
