Scoop: Pappas calls for audit of Land Bank

Politico

Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas is calling for an audit of the Cook County Land Bank Authority in a letter addressed to Land Bank Executive Director Robert Rose, according to Politico, which posts a copy of the letter.

The Land Bank has used its power to hold properties in limbo and then return them to the Scavenger Sale, Pappas writes.

"I urge the Land Bank to think before its acts - study thoroughly what looks like success so that its judgments about acquisitions can be informed ones," Pappas writes.
