People Rush to Pay Property Taxes Before New Year

WMAQ-TV

Prepayments of the tax bill are skyrocketing as property owners seek to beat a deadline of Jan. 1, 2018, when federal income tax law changes, WMAQ-TV reported.

The soaring number of payments is “unheard of,” Treasurer Maria Pappas said.
