To accommodate the end-of-the-year rush of property tax payments, Treasurer’s Office website is now allowing property owners to download a copy of their prepayment bill, WBBM-AM/FM reported.

It’s a convenient feature that Treasurer Maria Pappas compares to an airline boarding pass, except for taxes.

“You can take that bill, which is the March bill, which is 55 percent of your taxes, you can bring it to this office and pay, or you can take it to — which is also new — any Chase bank any day,” she said.
