Aldermen Launch Outreach to Help Elderly on Tax Issues

Chicago Sun-Times

Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas met with aldermen to coordinate an aggressive outreach program to raise awareness about the May 4, 2018, Tax Sale, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

“We met with 17 aldermen, and we are going to give them everything on a disk,” Pappas said.

The effort includes checking if homeowners are receiving the correct property tax exemptions, which can reduce tax bills.
