WHY:
|
The Irish Queen of Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will bring her Court to the Cook County Treasurer’s Office to promote this year’s parade. Joining newlycrowned Parade Queen Casey Doherty will be her four-member court, members of the Shannon Rovers,
the Chicago-based Irish pipe band, and Jim Coyne, the business manager for Plumbers Local 130, the title sponsor of the parade. Also in attendance will be Ald. Samantha Nugent (39th Ward) and Illinois State Rep. Mike Kelly (15th District).
The 68th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 11. It kicks off 12:30 p.m. at Balbo Drive and Columbus Drive.
