Treasurer Pappas will host an event between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, at the Polish National Alliance, 6100 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, Illinois.
Pappas will unveil her new brochure in Polish, available at cookcountytreasurer.com, accompanied by Piotr Semeniuk, vice-consul of Poland's Chicago consulate; Jan Kopec, president of the Alliance of Polish Clubs and Honorary Deputy Cook County Treasurer; and Frank Spula, president of the Polish Alliance Association.
Other Polish-American leaders joining Pappas are: Michael Niedzinski, president of the Polish American Congress Illinois Division; Jacek Graca, second vice president of the Polish American Congress Illinois Division; Ewa Cholewinski, national director of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America District 7; Dr. Lucja Mirowska Kopec, director of correspondence of the Alliance of Polish Clubs; Robert Groszek, of the Amicus Poloniae Legal Clinic; and Iwona Filipiak, president of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce.
"The 27 new multi-lingual informational brochures assist homeowners to better understand the complex property tax system," Pappas said.

Treasurer's Office employees with laptops will help homeowners in Polish and English between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to:
- Apply for $46 million in missing senior citizen property tax exemptions
- Search for $76 million in available refunds
- Learn what to do if their property taxes are delinquent
