Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas will host an event at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 24, in the Treasurer’s Office at 118 North Clark Street, Room 212, Chicago.

Pappas and Saddrudin Noorani, a real estate investor and civic leader in the Asian American community, will unveil her office’s new brochure in Urdu available at cookcountytreasurer.com.

"The 27 new multi-lingual informational brochures assist homeowners to better understand the complex property tax system," Pappas said.

Last year, Pappas named Noorani her Honorary Cook County Deputy Treasurer to act as a liaison between her office and the Urdu-speaking community.

“It is an honor to disseminate the public message and support the mission of Treasurer Maria Pappas, by informing Cook County’s Urdu-speaking population.” Noorani said.
