Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas will host an event on Thursday, May 13, at Logos Non-profit Christian Mission (2315 Sanders Rd, Northbrook, IL.), between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., to honor Asian Pacific Heritage Month and unveil her office's new informational brochure in Korean.

"I am delighted to celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month in the company of such distinguished leaders in the Korean community," said Pappas.

At 1:30 p.m., Pappas, accompanied by Consul General Dr. Young Sok Kim and Cook County Honorary Deputy Treasurer Jin Lee, will host a press conference to present her recently updated informational brochure in the Korean language available at cookcountytreasurer.com.

"The new brochure is the result of my commitment to help ethnic communities in Cook County navigate the complex property tax system in their own languages." Pappas said.

At 2 p.m., Treasurer Pappas will recognize civic leaders and members of the Korean community for their work and contributions.

"Their leadership in these turbulent times has made Cook County a better place to live," Pappas said.
