Target Corp. is reportedly interested in moving into Chicago's "Magnificent Mile," drawing discussion of whether Target is tony enough for the storied retail district.

Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas, who lives nearby the mall, said the retailer was considering two floors, but pooh-poohed the idea on WGN Radio, saying it doesn't belong with the likes of the neighborhood's high-end retailers. "How embarrassing is this to the city?" she asked. "It's like, disgusting."
