It looks like Cook County property owners will get a Covid-related break again on when they can pay next year's taxes without penalty, Politico reports.
Treasurer Maria Pappas has formally requested that with Covid still raging, billions of dollars that normally would be due March 1 and Aug. 1 instead could be paid up to 60 days late without interest or other penalty charges.
