Cook County Board of Commissioners approved a $6.9 billion budget for 2021 on a 17-0 vote after a series of final adjustments, including reallocating money to keep open a health clinic at Morton East High School in Cicero, the Chicago Tribune reports.
In another vote, the board also approved allowing people to pay next year's property taxes up to two months later without penalty because of pandemic hardships, as was allowed this year. That was proposed by Treasurer Maria Pappas.
