The only tense moment during the Cook County Board's otherwise placid four hours of hearings on Monday came during Treasurer Maria Pappas' budget presentation, when she said Preckwinkle's budget proposal included an inaccurate version of the treasurer's requested spending plan, the Daily Line reports.

Pappas proposed to give her office a 4 percent budget cut instead of the slight increase called for in the budget proposed by Toni Preckwinkle, president of the Cook County Board.
