Instructions to follow when applying for a Duplicate or Overpayment Refund
If you believe you may have a claim on any funds, you must do the following:
- Obtain a copy of the Duplicate and Overpayment Application from the County Treasurer's Office or download the form from this Web site.
- Complete Duplicate and Overpayment Application by filling in PIN, tax year, installment, name, address, city, state, zip code, social security number and signature.
*Important Note*
All above-mentioned fields must be completed in order for the County Treasurer to process your request.
- Locate proof of payment that shows you are entitled to receive a portion or the entire refund amount.

- After you have completed the Duplicate and Overpayment Application, attach all proper proof of payment(s) and mail the paperwork to:

You may only be entitled to a refund for a duplicate or overpayment.
- The amount posted on a PIN as a duplicate or overpayment is a lump sum amount. It might be several duplicate or overpayments (such as you paid and your mortgage company paid), or even an amount posted to the PIN in error.
- You would be entitled to a refund of only those amounts overpaid which you can show, by proof of payment, that you made in excess of the amount due.
